Job Description
Are you a skilled mechanical fitter, ready to take on a role that mixes hands-on fitting with design work?

Imagine stepping into an Engineering Assistant role where every day brings something new, and you’re front and centre with clients.

This isn't your typical automotive job. As an Engineering Assistant, you'll be improving existing products and fitting them to new, bespoke vehicles.
Each project is unique, so your grasp of engineering within the automotive sector will be put to the test. You’ll handle prototype test fitting, sign off final approvals, and bridge the gap between engineering and customer services, helping to resolve any fitting issues that crop up.

Your Solidworks experience will come in handy, especially with part modeling, drawing creation, and working with assemblies. You’ll also be able to navigate PDM standards with ease, ensuring seamless design management. If you have FEA analysis skills or even CFD experience, that’s a bonus – but by no means a deal breaker.

You'll need to be comfortable chatting with customers, understanding their needs both over the phone and face-to-face. There’s travel involved (not constantly!), and there's a company vehicle when you need it. The current chap has been up in Scotland one week and then closer to home in Telford the next… so a bit of adventure’s on the cards.

You’ll be hands-on, fitting products that meet client specs. If tweaks are needed, it’s up to you to flag them with engineering or sign off when it’s spot on.

As an Engineering Assistant, you can get your hands on a top-of-the-range 3D scanner to help streamline things.

Working hours are 40 hours to be worked between 8:00 and 5:30, fitting around both your needs and the business's.

Salary-wise, you’re looking at £30k, plus opportunities for personal growth and training.

Marshall Harmony engages exclusively with our customers, so you won’t be approached by any third party for this role.
